Abstract

   The relationship between teacher and student is a social, educational, and professional relationship that forms the foundation of the learning and teaching process. This study attempts to highlight the nature of this relationship and its role in the educational process. This is a field study within the boundaries of Dukan District-Sulaymaniyah, which the researcher has worked on. The study consists of theoretical and field aspects, where the problem, importance, objectives, and limitations of the study have been used, as well as a questionnaire form as a tool for data collection. The study population and sample were selected from preparatory schools within the boundaries of Dukan District using a stratified random sample, numbering (4) schools. The total number of students in the study sample schools was (1220) students, from which (450) students were selected as the study sample, consisting of students from grades (10, 11, 12) in both scientific and literary tracks, from both genders. Finally, the study reached the conclusion that there is a documented statistical relationship between the nature of the teacher-student relationship and the learning process, with a value of (0.855). This indicates that there is a strong positive statistical relationship between the nature of the teacher-student relationship and the learning process. Also, according to the value of the (coefficient of determination R²), which was (0.732), meaning that at a rate of (73.2%), the nature of the teacher-student relationship has a role in the learning process.
