Mullah Abdulkarim Muderris, one of the greatest Kurdish scholars of the 20th century, played a significant role in reviving Kurdish science, religion and culture. In this study, his rank and place in the position of the Iraqi mufti and his influence on the intellectual, scientific and information movement are discussed in a historical analysis. Based on his rooted science and jurisprudence, Kurdish culture and evaluating issues in terms of ijtihad, he was able to introduce a new system of religious issues. A way to strike a new balance between being faithful to the ancient legitimate heritage and the needs of today's changing society.
In his life, it is evident that he not only solved the daily legitimate issues of the people, but also used his position as the mufti of Baghdad and Iraq to guide the intellectual thought of society.
His scientific works also paved the way for reviving the tradition of scientific discussion, appreciating the status and place of the Kurdish language in Kurdistan's classrooms and educating students who later became the founders of new fields of knowledge and cognition.
