Abstract

 The current study aims to investigate the diverse usages of the word 'time' in Surah Al-A'raf and extract their meanings and purposes from the most well-known and reliable Arabic Dictionaries. It also clarifies the word 'time' in terms of its linguistic basis, classification, and various meanings the word carries. 

 Furthermore, the study attempts to focus on the repetition of the word in different contexts of the Surah carrying diverse senses. The same expression could have various meanings in different contexts, or it could have a new sense that is different from its basic one, conceivably the exact expression can totally give a different meaning from the expression that has been used.
