Abstract

This study deals with International Collective Security.

However, in order for the study to become scientifically methodological, we find it necessary to cover the Balance of power as well.

The history of the relationship of world states has gone through two stages; the first is the Balans of power and the second being that of collective security.

As there is an intimate relationship between the two policies. And to keep them distinct from each other, we have considered points of similarity and difference between them.

The reason behind the choice of this topic is that it deals with the policy of international Collective Security and the role played by the United Nations Security Council in decision - making, especially after the end of Cold War and the effect of globalisation on collective security.

Since international security influences humanity altogether and to Distinguish between the points covered in the study, we have divided them into the following topics.

- chapter one : The concept of the Balance of power policy.

- chapter two : The concept of the theory of Collective Security.

- chapter three : comparison between Balance of power and Collective Security.

- chapter four : Collective Security under the League of Nation.

- chapter five : Collective Security under the United Nations.

- Chapter Six: Influence of Collective Security on the role of security Council.

At the end of the study, the conclusions are drawn and the References listed.
