Abstract


The research aims to detect the effect of reducing the rapid weight by various means in a number
of physical components and achievement in the elevation of the jerk Weightlifting Men. The
experimental method was used for suitability and the nature of the research. a sample of (9) senior
weightlifters was selected from the weightlifting team of Nineveh state at season Sports 2010-2011.
Three for each formal classified weight categories (69.10 - 77 kg) (77.10 - 85 kg) (94.10- + 105kg)
were selected. This homogeneity of the sample was achieved in variables of chronological age and
life training. The pre-test and post-test experimental design was adopted. A pilot experiment had
been conducting on one of the lifters, and later pre measurements were performed in a number of
physical components of fat weight, free-fat- weight, total body weight, muscle weight, and water
weight as well as testing the elevation jerk to measure achievement. After that, the sample had to
lose rapid weight during the week by determining the amount of food and drink within the diet
supervised directly by researchers taking into account the reduced number of calories input and to
use 10-15 minutes bathrooms dry sauna three times a week, as well as to use daily exercise of
weightlifters. After completing these procedures the post measurements was applied. Data were
processed statistically by using arithmetic mean, standard deviation, paired t-test, percentage,
Pearson correlation coefficient, and coefficient of multiple correlation. It was found that the rapid
weight loss procedures of this study had reduced the physical components of the sample. there was
a significant progress in the jerk performance for the first category, 69.10 - 77 kg.
