The current study aims to identify the state of organizational health in Sulaymaniyah Governorate Office in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and to examine its contribution to reducing organizational inertia, based on the opinions of a sample of employees working in the office. The study also seeks to bridge the knowledge concerning the relationship between these two variables and to provide practical insights that may assist the organization under study in addressing and overcoming organizational inertia, challenge commonly encountered by many public sectors governmental organization . The analytical descriptive approach was adopted in the research. The population of study consisted of employees working at the Sulaymaniyah Governorate Office, which estimated approximately 200 employees. The questionnaire was used as the main tool for collecting data. A total of 150 questionnaires were distributed to a randomly selected sample, of which 136 were returned. Following examination and verification of the responses, 6 questionnaires were excluded. Therefore, 130 questionnaires were considered valid and used for statistical analysis through (SPSS-V25). This study reached several key findings, most notably that the organization under investigation generally exhibits an acceptable level of organizational health, as reflected in the presence of its various dimensions, although a slight weakness was identified in the dimension of resource support. The result also indicate that the organization experience a certain degree of organizational inertia dimensions: insight inertia, action inertia, and psychological inertia, according to responses of its employees, which suggests the presence of real organizational challenge. Moreover, the findings show statistically significant correlations and effect relationships between organizational health in its combined dimensions, and organizational inertia, both in its overall form and in its individual dimensions. Accordingly, the researchers recommend enhancing organizational health across all its dimensions, as this is expected to contribute to reducing and overcoming organizational inertia in the organization under study, as well as in comparable public sector organization operating in the same field .
