Abstract

Literature in any genre requires a set of genres. Every literary work has a set of genres that participate in the formation of that literary text. Imagination, as a major genre of literary works, plays a major role in the construction of these works, especially poetry. Imagination comes as a motivating tool for the poet; Because, the poet can create productivity and convey his main objective message through a blind imagination. Literary imagination is different from ordinary imagination for the poet; The poet lives as a social person in the midst of time and society. The poet takes his subject from society, but the production of that subject is created by the poet through his artistic images and literary imagination.
The style of writing of a poet's literary work is different from that of another poet. The writer deals with each subject according to his own imagination. When he writes about the subject, he has various ideas about the subject, which are reflected in his works. This research is entitled (Reflection of Imagination in the Poems of Muaid Taybi, Diwana of Snow and Fire) as an example. The aim of this research is to highlight the types of imagination that are found in the book (Snow and Fire), and the importance of this lies in the extent to which the author benefited from imagination and what kind of imagination he used. It may be assumed that there are not many types of imagination or that there is a mixture of poems.
This research was conducted under the descriptive-analytical approach. The structure of this research consists of an introduction, two chapters, conclusions and a list of sources. In the first section, the definition of imagination is discussed, as well as imagination in general and literary imagination. In this section, the characteristics of imagination and types of imagination are discussed. In the second part, the types of imagination in the book (Snow and Fire) are described and explained.
