The sun of Islam shone and spread to the farthest reaches of the earth, thanks to God, our noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), his honorable companions (may God be pleased with them), and the scholars and men of diverse backgrounds and sects. Islamic civilization ascended to its highest stages of prosperity and cultural enlightenment, allowing it to radiate knowledge and learning to the entire world for centuries, the fruits of which continue to be reaped to this day.
During the Abbasid era, Baghdad was a city of knowledge and peace, attracting numerous scholars who contributed to its cultural and scientific development. The Nizamiyya Madrasa became a destination for Kurdish scholars and students from various cities and countries, who studied and taught within this towering center of learning. Their intellectual and scientific contributions stand as a testament to their service to Islamic civilization, a topic that will be explored in this research
