Abstract

The matter of seeing Allah Almighty for believers is one of the noblest and most important issues in the fundamentals of religion. It is the ultimate goal for every believer who hopes and longs to see Allah and meet Him in the gardens of bliss. The essence of this matter has been   clarifie   by the scholar Al -Mawlawi, may Allah have mercy on him, in a poem titled "Al-Fadilah" under the section of seeing Allah Almighty. The crux of this important issue is that seeing Allah Almighty refers to seeing Him with the eyes, looking at Him, and meeting Him. It is intellectually possible for a servant of Allah to see Him in this world, but the occurrence of this vision has not been confirmed through textual evidence. As for the vision of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during the night journey and ascension, this is specific to the status of the Seal of the Prophets, and his companions differed in confirming its occurrence. Regarding the vision of Allah Almighty in the Hereafter and in the eternal paradise for the people of faith, most scholars affirm it, stating that this vision is true and that believers will see their Lord clearly in paradise in a manner befitting His majesty and greatness, without delving into the specifics. This is supported   by abundant textual and rational evidence. However, there are other Islamic sects that deny the vision of Allah Almighty in paradise   to maintain the transcendence   of Alla Almighty above any resemblance to His creation, thus they fall into denying His attributes. The correct view, as emphasized by Al- Mawlawi , is that the people of faith in paradise will delight in seeing Allah Almighty without delving into the specifics or limitations
