Abstract


Kafri district (Salahiyah) as one of the most important districts of Mosul province in the late nineteenth century, was an important administrative and economic position in the region. This district is located on the strategic road of Mosul-Baghdad on the one hand and Sulaimani and Kirkuk-Baghdad on the other, which makes it an important and strategic road The city is described in terms of geography, administration and other aspects such as education, economy and society according to the data and information in the calendar of Mosul province under the title ((Kafri (Salahiya) in the calendar of Mosul province)). 
The position of the research area in these aspects, based on a number of Ottoman documents and presented according to the method of historical research (descriptive, analytical), the research aims to position the district in The Mosul Calendar should record the results in the above areas and present them to researchers and readers so that more scientific work can be done on them in the future.
