Abstract


What is known about these two cities is through documents and texts. These two cities played a significant political and economic role in the region in the late third and early second millenniums BC. Kimash and Madga were two important historical cities in the Zagros region. These cities were located in a strategic position, although the geographical position of these cities has not been determined accurately, but most opinions agree that they are located in Garmian region and between Kirkuk and Kufri and were part of the civilization of the region. The city of Kimash, which was one of the most important ancient cities in the region, some opinions believe that there were two Kimash, one in Elam and the other in ancient Kurdistan Minerals and agricultural crops, especially grain.
The ancient city of Madga had an important strategic position in the region, although its position is not yet fully determined, but opinions agree that it was in Garmian. Both cities have played an important role in the ancient history of the region and are evidence of the ancient civilization of the peoples of the region. Our knowledge of these cities is rather limited and most of the information comes from ancient historical texts found in archaeological excavations.
