Abstract

Drug abuse is one of the real problems facing human societies in our time, especially in our society in general and Iraqi society in particular. This scourge has become a threat to the social fabric of society in an astonishing and unnatural way. We are facing these developments and changes that affect us without knowing the extent to which they are tearing apart the social and family bonds of our society. This research includes two chapters. The first chapter is the general framework of the study, which includes three sections: The first section deals with the importance of the research, its problem, its objectives, its limits, the methodology followed for this study, and the formulation of the necessary hypotheses. The second section includes an introduction to the scientific concepts and terms, and the third section includes a definition of the individual concepts of the research. The second chapter deals with the motives, causes, and effects of drug abuse, and includes three sections: The first section deals with the motives and causes of drug abuse, the second section deals with the effects resulting from drug abuse, and the third section deals with the treatment and combating of drug abuse, with the results, recommendations, and suggestions, and then the list of sources.
