Abstract

The research deals with the status of the Sunnah, its authority, and its source among the Rightly Guided Caliphs, by extrapolating their works of jurisprudence, fatwas, jurisprudence, political and constitutional rulings, and how they modernized and spoke of the Sunnah, repelled it, and defended its authority and status. By referring to reliable sources such as the books of Sahih, Sunan, Musnad, Muwatta, and books of history, interpretation, and jurisprudence. By highlighting the most prominent suspicions raised about the validity of the Sunnah among the caliphs and their implementation of it, while responding to them with authentic, explicit evidence transmitted from the caliphs themselves that refute those suspicions, and prove their adherence to the Sunnah and viewing it as a legislative source based on infallible revelation, through demands distributed over those points referred to. Reaching a satisfactory conclusion for the researcher that the Companions, led by the Rightly Guided Caliphs, may God be pleased with them all, never differed in the authority of the Sunnah, taking it and referring to it in deducing rulings and knowing doctrinal and practical legal matters.
