Abstract


In modern time, studying ideology has been under an immense focus because of the impact it
creates in societies, political, economic and social systems. Social change is related to the concept of
ideology, as there is a continuous dialectic relation between them. That’s why the researcher thought
that studying this dialectic relationship is important, which has been drawn from a master thesis
entitled "The Relation between Ideology and Social Change, a Sociological Study in Kurdistan
Region", which is a political and cognitive sociological topic. Besides illustrating the form of the
relationship between those two concepts, i.e. Ideology and Social Change in Kurdistan Region, the
aim of this study is to understand that the ideologies in Kurdistan could create social changes under
the impact of social inquiries. To achieve this goal, the researcher has adopted a dialectic method,
and has made use of the interview as a mechanism for data collection. The research has concluded
that there is a dialectic relation between "Change and Ideology". Moreover, to be affiliated with,
ideology needs to be continuously in a renovation process. Then, it has been realized that economic
interests and political hegemony have directed conflicts and rivalries among ideological powers in
Kurdistan, and eventually the researcher has presented a number of recommendations and
suggestions.
