Abstract

The primary objective of this research paper is to assess and illustrate the level of commitment demonstrated by Kurdish new media towards legal responsibilities when reporting on crime news. Employing analytical methodologies, the study analyzed crime news publications in the new Kurdish media and relevant legal documents and provisions pertaining to legal responsibilities in crime reporting and court proceedings.
The research has yielded several noteworthy findings, including: the published crime news samples in the Kurdish new media include sensitive information about the conflicting parties involved in the crime, such as: as the name and image of the accused, the name and photograph of the juvenile defendant, and details regarding the court investigation.
